Default hunting stands ?

Hey everyone question regarding hunting stands:

Are chained on hunting stands easy to set up? I am looking into either getting a climber or a chained on stand with either steps or a ladder, but Im not sure what to get. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

It depends on if you will be leaving the stand there or packing it in or out. If you are packing it in and out i would go with a climber. But if you are leaving it there ( probably private property) then i would go with a lock-on or a ladder stand.

I agree with bowgun88. if you are moving around alot go with a climber. I have both but I leave my chain on in the woods for extended periods of time. It is my permanant stand during the season. The ladder is too much of a pain to carry in and out of the woods all the time. Climbers just strap to your back and you are ready to go. Chain-ons are not all that easy to hang either. Some days I can slap it right on other days I would rather throw it. With a climber once i get to my tree I can be up in less than 30 minutes, 20 minutes if I already know the tree.
