the rut should be around the 15th of nov.thedeer will probably start scrapeing soon, within a couple of weeks.the big deer usually start earlier than the others.

I'm in central NH and I've already come across three scrapes just yesturday. The oneis a deep huge scrape with3saplings that are just shredded and onsmall tree about 1 1/2" in diameter that's snapped in half. The hemlock branch above the scrape was also shredded up. The other two scrapeI found have fresh rubs around the area andthe scrapes are on the same deer run.

I've found them this early but never as big and tore up like the first one I found. He was getting busy on that one scrape. I set up my trail cameraon that scrape and am waiting until Monday before I go in and hunt it.

I live in SW Vermont, and I have not seen any rubs or scrapes yet, but they should be popping up any time now. I usually start seeing them 2-3 week of October. There is usually a mini rut around the end of October, the big one should be in full swing around the beginning of rifle season on Nov 12.
