Day 2: Didn't see any deer while in my stand, but when i was walking out, I came across 2 bucks...one small 4 and aHUGE spike. (bigger than the 4).... sadly i had taken of my arrow and release so i couldn't shoot even though they were only 15 yds from me.[:@] those were the 4th and 5th deer of the year (3 bucks, and 2 BB fawns)

My dad a deer crawling all around his stand before light, and saw a few in the field after it got light, but didn't get any shots. Atleast 4 does, but couldn't identify anymore due to darkness.

Going back out in a couple of hours.

308 is it legal in your area to shoot a 4 point?

Day 2 for me will be going toa new area and hanging my stand. This evening is just going to be too hot. Where is the cooler weather.

After reading day 1 reports what is all the complaining about not seeing deer. Having lived in 2 other states (Ohio and TN) I think PA offers great deer hunting!

It just got better, well kinda. I had 2 does and 2 fawns come by at 25 and drew back, but it was too hot to take a doe for meat so i let her pass. Then my dad got stuck in his stand because he had 10+ deer in the field by him and i had to drive up and pick him up to push the deer out of the field...no shots for him because it was too dark by time they made it into range, also to dark to tell if they were bucks or does...he thinks 3 bucks though.

wesmac68: i am allowed to take a 4 pt because i am a junior hunter. other than that it would have to be 4 pts to a side.

tomorrow i will be heading to the stand that i got my first buck out of. and to make it even better, that will have happened exactly 1 year ago tomorrow
