Northern New york getting ready?!

man, rifle season in new york is a month of way, but i can't wait. I had a dream about hunting the other night, i can tell the season is coming. Unfortunately i am in college and dont get to hunt much, and I never have time to scout before the season. Last weekend i went home and saw a couple bucks in the fresh cut corn field across the road. One small buck and one a little nicer, but around there they dont get very big, so they both looked pretty good. Bigger than any i have taken. I CANT WAIT!!!

Anyone else going crazy over the next month?

Im sooo freaking pumped. Im in college to, soi dont get to hunt much either. I am going black bear hunting in 2 weeks, so that also acts as my deer scouting....any sign i see ill mark in my gps so i know where it is when i goback for deer......i have a good feeling about this season.....goodluck

Talk about pumped...Salmon fishing Lake Ontario (NY) next Wednesday for a week ..Muzzleloading opens on Oct.15 in the Adirondacks...Bow in Southern zone same time....Southern gun opens on Saturday before Thanksgiving......WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo

Bow season opens in 6 days up north. If im not on here then you know where I am,lol.

Ask about the hunting on the college property behind and to the west - of the "new college Barn" on the old West Farm property. I hunted small game there - alot (like every day) - it was my back yard when I was a kid. I didn't deer hunt there as we had our own farm - but it was great deer hunting there.

I understand that its posted (of sorts) - but I still think that several colllege professors hunt there - and have permission.

Look into it - I'm not sure they can keep you out?
