Default Throw this old theory out...10 point pic

I once heard the big boys shed their velvet first. Dont believe it saw 9 buc k last 2 days and this big 10 is the only one with it. I got took this pic about 45 minutes ago.

I saw a real nice big buck, many many years ago on sept 15th still in velvet. Personally I think size has very little to do with when a buck sheds velvet or his antlers.

Geez, that's a huge buck! It's still hard for me to think that bucks like this exist in PA. Maybe one day I'll be fortunate enough to see one like this up close.

This week on my camera most of the smaller bucks are completely rubbed of or in the process and the bigger bucks still are in velvet.

Now see I was always told that the smaller bucks would rub off first, but this year I had saw a small buck still in velvet and one larger 8pt without,,, Maybe it all depends on the location?
