congrats on the doe. Opening day was saturday 28 in my neck of the woods and I was home spending some good quality time with my wife so I wasn't out there. But soon I will be in the woods probable next monday. Can't wait to get out there.
I had a good afternoon saw 17 different deer had a 4 pointer walk under me and had 2 other bucks banging heads together about 25 yards behind me. Oh, I missed a doe she jumped the string, "right over her back". My buddy saw close to 20 himself. Don't ask where and I won't have to lie. LOL
445 SUPERMAG Just to clarify, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "QUALITY TIME" WITH THE WIFE FROM BOW OPENER TILL THE END OF WINTER BOW. ACCEPT EVERY OTHER SUNDAY
I didn't hunt the a.m., I was just not prepared. I guess with all the things going on around the house I lost track of the days. I did hunt the p.m. but did't see any deer. I was checked by a C.O., and I must say she was the most pleasant and unarrogant C.O. I have ever spoken with. MWX
I missed the opener as my wife is pregnant and not feeling too well. The baby is due around Thnksgiving so it will be a real tough season for me. The only people at the club in Zone 2 said that it was mostly quiet with some coyotes seen and a couple of small 4 pters. The guy next door shot a button buck--way to go.
See ya and good luck.
