Default Acorns in N.Y. along PA border

Where I live along the PA border,(south central N.Y.) we have had a drought.I do see alot of acorns though.The acorns have been dropping for about 1 month now.Is that early for acorns or not?

Default RE: Acorns in N.Y. along PA border

Cut a few open,You might find out they are wormy.If they have a worm inside the deer won't touch em.Amazes me how the deer can tell which ones are wormy and which ones are good.
