NY SOUTHERN TIER RIFLE BILL

I checked on Sen. Volkers website today ( he sponsored this bill ), and by going thru several sites found that the rifle bill was presented to the Governor on the 18th of August.This means he has 30 days to sign the bill or not. If he doesn't sign it, after 30 days it will be declared a "pocket veto" but I have read in several places that Volker expects him to sign it . Either way we should know by 9/18 what is going on.You can check the bill at : http://public.leginfo.state.ny.us/menugetf.cgi

According to Dave Henderson, outdoors writer for the Ithaca Journal and Binghamton Press, Pataki may not sign the bill because of objections from Tioga County. There apparently is a push to have Tioga excluded from the bill. I have a camp in Tioga and I do hope that we are excluded from this bill.
