Default MD Bowhunt?

Last year, there was a hunt planned for MD hunters (and hunters from other states that could make it in) to get together annd hunt the beginning of the rut. I know Bearklr and his father, Mossy, Lefty, RickC and myselfas well as some others were set to go when the weather put an end to it at the last second. I was wondering if anyone wanted to plan something similar for this year?

Cardeer, If you have medical clearance (just a note from a doc usually works), an x-bow is allowed during the entire MD season. Without clearance, there is a 2 week period (I think in November) in which anyone can use crossbows. As far as price of license, it went up this year, and is a hefty $130 for any non-resident for just the license. A $25 bow stamp is also required. MD did sell 3 day licenses at one point, but I'm not sure if they still do, or if they do how much they cost.

I hope this helps!

Sorry, I didn't respond to all your questions the first time,Cardeer. This would be a bow hunt (last year was scheduled on Nov. 5). As far as walking, I think we may be able to figure something out for you. Last year the hunt was scheduled for Monocasy (public land near Frederick). If we get more hunters from across the state, we may take a vote on where it'll be held this year, but at this point, with the hunters we have, I think it'll probably stay at Monocasy. If you have any more questions or theres anything I can help you with, let me know. We'd love to have you on the hunt.

ringneck. Last year it started as a one day hunt. We just wanted to pick a day when we could all get together and spend a day in the woods. Of course we still got together throughout the rest of the season and did some more hunting. I think I made something like 4 or 5 trips down there last year. It's actually up to the hunter how many days they want to hunt. As Slice said it's going to be on public ground so once you know how to get there your good to go.
