is NY changing the hunting season

Hey does any 1 know if NY is changing the hunting seasons this year or not????? thanks

For southern zone:
Bow - 1st sat after Columbus Day - Oct 15th this year
Gun - Sat before Thanksgiving
MZ - late season extended 2 days
Bow lost the best weekend, but did not get the bow season gutted by an early rifle season. In the years Columbus day falls later, bow will lose more.

Will that rifle bill for the Southern Tier take effect this upcoming season?

From what I understand..... if it is signed, it is immediately effective.

He must sign it in the next week. If he does it will be immediately effective....

Thanks. Elsewhere in the forum, there is a conversation about the bill. There, they posted links to the bills. If I hadn't read that and had you guys reinforce it, I would have believed the articles out there that it wouldn't take effect until the 2006 hunting season.

Thanks again. If anyone could just post in the forum here when he signs or declines to sign the bill, I would appreciate it.
