Got one today

i put this up on the turkey site, but i thought id put it here also...

well it was the last day today, and my friend went w/ me to film my hunt.. i really didnt think much would happen but i was wrong.. i ended up getting one.. 7am, jake 14lbs 3 1/2" beard... the funny thing is it is my first jake ever, ive killed lots of longbeards but never a jake but it was the last day and he gave me a great hunt on a tough season.. i called him in from across the hollow he even crossed a pretty big creek.. then came up to me at about 20yrds.. oh and my friend did get it on film also.. so my season ended on a great note.. even though it was a jake im really pleased w/ it.. im pretty happy right now..

Congrates,Wish someone would of came and shot some of the turkeys in my back yard. Now they are picking my strawberrys off and they are not even ripe yet

Congrats Pa Gobbler! The beard doesnt taste all that good anyway. Even in Gravy!

Cardeer - Can you shoot a shotgun on your property? If you blasted one of those turkeys, you might chase the flock away. Just make sure he has a beard. Oh well, next year.
