I have worked for a large consulting firm for over 7 years as part of their web development team. My focus was mainly design, layout, UI, and content management. I collaborate with the application developers to make sure their work looks professional. Occasionally I take on small side projects of my own with businesses, or individuals looking/wanting a professional site, but can't or don't want to afford the high cost of a design studio. Because I have my day job, I can keep my costs very low when compared to the average cost of a marketing/media studio.
