Anyone else finding it impossible to get the birds to gobble?

I think it's the cold weather. My friend said they were gobbling this morning until 7:30, but then they shut up. But in the past week they have been shut down almost all day. During the beginning of the second season they were gobbling like crazy.

As soon as the wheather breaks, the birds will become more active. Heck, it snowed here two days ago.

We have been having a pretty good season here. I haven't gotten out, but just about everyone else that I know has gotten one.

Gobble Shmobble. Where are the birds? There are a couple areas I'v hunted that we used to see 50 - 100 birds, now only 1 or 2 dozen. Other areas the birds are great. The areas where the foriegn owned paper mills are cutting all the pine seems to be the areas where the bird population has taken quite a hit.
