Default Illinois turkey ?

When do turkeys in Illinois start gobbling.

I want to go scout, but don't remember when they start.

Default RE: Illinois turkey ?

Depending on the weather and temps. I usually start hearing them around the end of March. I've been out on some really nice days about mid-March and not here a thing. Go back a week or two later and gobblers are everywhere. Can't wait to here them birds talk. That is the ultimate sign of spring for me!!
