I will be heading there my self this fall. We are going to be hunting the Martin area. I have a brother that lives there, he has them all figured out. I don't know much more at this point other that show up. I will keep posted tho, as I am looking as well.

Kind of depends on what you are after. For bigger deer the south eastern part of the state is where you want to go. They take some brutes in the Yankton, Vermillion area. If you want scenery and good hunting go to the Black Hills. It is most all public land and the hunting is good. Your tag would allow you to take a whitetail or mule deer. There are also some good outfitters in the western part of the state. Let me know a few more specifics and I can help you out. PM me if you want also. I now live in Texas but spent the past 8 years in western SD.

There are some nice spots along the Missouri that are open to public. It will take scouting or pure luck to have success though. Scenery will always be beautiful. Stalking muley's is always fun too. Mail or PM me for the good stuff.
