When do you usually go out looking for sheds? I usually go in the middle of March and find a few but not as many as i would like to. When is the best time do you think to go look for sheds in western illinois?

I found two today in Southern Illinois. I try to get in the woods as much as possible. But I've never looked for sheds this early. I saw one nice buck with his antlers. And I probably saw another 8 or 9 bucks without their antlers, maybe more. I saw 40-50 deer today. And only one with antlers.
im gonna go early - mid. february, I looked a little bit this weekend, but never found one, gonna wait to be sure the antlers are off the deer before i go and walk 15 miles...
I went a little this weekend. Still a little early I think. I never found any. I didn't look real hard, I was mostly just out there to put up my camera. I have read people are finding a few here and there but I think the majority of the bucks are still carrying them.
I have a friend that shed hunts 5 days a week. Hes telling me hes finding some nice sheds already and hes been finding quite a few. If you have a place that doesnt recieve pressure from people I would wait. If you have a place that others are going to be looking I would start now.
