This guy was hit in channahon Illinois.

I scored him at 170 7/8

I only wish he walked under my stand.

when you say hit, you mean you whacked him with the bottom limb of your bow, right? *wink, wink*

you get to keep road kills ? In South Dakota our conservation officer takes them especially if it's a nice buck. He's also a taxidermist .

He didn't get mounted. Its not mine but a guy at work picked him up on the way to work. I told him I got a buddy that will mount it for a great price. He gave the antlers to someone already.

Here in Illinois we used to have to call the state and report road kills and then you can keep them. Just last year they changed that. You don't have to call the state anymore. You can just pick it up. And all you have to do is keep track of when and where you got it incase a conservation cop asks.

turkeyhunter2314t, they dont always take them. you can call them and get a tag if you hit the deer. you can get a tag for i think 10 or 15 bucks. i dont remember for sure but i had a friend that hit a nice buck and they called the state , or a police and got a tag and tagged it.
