I don't normally do this....but this one has me whirling.
There is a young man from the neighboring town that is maybe 13. I have never physically met him, but I email back and forth with him all the time. Him and his dad hunt within 1 mile of me and we always cross paths.
This young man had surgery on his leg last year to remove a cancer tumor and had to have many plates placed in his leg. I believe he has more passion for bowhunting than I do and he missed a portion of his last season do to that surgery.
Now 1 week before opening day that he has been waiting for since last october he found out some terrible news. The tumor is back and they don't think that they will be able to save the leg. They have to run some more tests to make sure that it didn't leave the leg. Hopefully it was contained in his leg and he can make the best of loosing his limb. His mom told me it would be a couple of weeks before they new any for sure information as to when it will come off.
He and his dad also had an elk hunt planned for this october and now chances are he is going to miss that also. Hopefully if they do have to remove his leg, maybe they will let him go to Colorado prior to the surgery.
Please keep this young man in your thoughts and prayers. His first name is Blake. Hopefully by the end of the weekend, I will be able to copy and paste responses from this post to send to him to let him know there are people he may never meet praying for his speedy recovery!! So come on guys, lets let this young man know he is not alone!!

If he hunts near you I would put him in my best spot opening day with his dad, get ahold of his dad and make plans, nothing would be better for him to kill a big buck, a positive time will do wonders for people in that condition. That's what I'd do. His 's in my prayers.
