Default ohio public lands

Hey Guys, I'm originally from Ohio and still hunt there on a friends farm. I live in NC now and am thinking of checking out some public land hunting in south eastern Ohio along 77. What do you guys suggest?? If you have any bucks you have taken off these public lands I'd love to see a pic!! Thanks....By the way, I'd be bowhunting.

That is right in my neck of the woods.I'm right off of 77 near the Caldwell exit. There is 10,000+ acres of AEP recreation land across 3 counties with excellent hunting and primitive camping avalible at no cost. There is some true monsters living on this land. There is also Wolf Run SP not far off of 77's Belle Valley exit.Good hardwood public hunting area and a campground with hot showers.I've hunted on both for years and there is good quality hunting on both of these public lands.Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.I've lived right in the center of this area for 36 years.

We have went camping at the AEP that Ohio Bowhunter is talking about and have seen some good deer in the off season. Never hunted there, though.

I have to agree with Deerslayer, southern ashland and richland counties, along with the hocking vally region in southern ohio are the best public hunting in the state.
