I've found a little under 200. Last time out on Tuesday we found a few fresh ones. Everything was on NW and W hilsides where the weeds were grown up. I think this weekend will be it around here. Too much vegetation in the timber.

Hi guys. I have a silly question for you mushroom hunters. Where in the world do you find them?? I've looked several times in the past and come up empty handed. I live in n. central illinois. Sure would appreciate a few pointers as far as to what type of terrain to start the big search. Thanks guys. dcl

best places i have are fairly thick wooded plenty of leaf cover . look around base of trees but they can really be anywhere just keep looking it gets easier when you start finding them
