Illinois Hunters - anyone score on Vets Day

I went out yesterday (vets day) and didnt see a thing. My hunting buddies were out on the property we hunt this weekend, killed two and saw a ton of deer. I was thinking the warmer weather yesterday and the moon reflecting on the clouds killed my hunt, what do you all think.

Well, it depends on what you were hunting. I was out yesterday with my father we filled our bag limit of one pheasant apeice in 1 hour at the JTC. I would say that is a pretty good day.

I sat all day only to see three in morning, 1 at noon, and the same three in the afternoon. the warm weather was killing the hunting.

Warm weather and the dang wind. I didn' t get to hunt becuase I' m at school in Edwardsville but the wind had to be gusting over 40 mph. I don' t know what it was doing there but I would have been scared to be in a tree here!

I made it out for an am hunt while it was still calm and only managed to spook 2 does on my way back to my truck. Right after lunchtime the winds started kicking up and I didn' t even bother trying to get back out.

Hunted all day, saw nothing. Snuck out to pick up my boy from school at 3 and jumped a doe
