Default archery goose hunt

Anyone want to try their hand at early season goose hunting with me with a bow? I'm using my bow because shotgun hunting is not allowed at my club anymore.

Makes me wonder how many geese will be walking around with arrows sticking out of them. I have seen far too many and have seen far too many on the 6 o'clock news making hunters look bad. Not everyone is Fred Bear. Very bad idea in my opinion, shooting at live animals is not something people should "try their hand at". Especially a new archer! Birds and animals are not target practice.

I would think that if you hit them at all it would do enough damage for them to be dispatched. Might not be the most ethical kill though.

I guess you missed the part where I said I have seen many geese on the news and also in person with arrows sticking through them. However, the original post is almost a year old.

In the unlikely event the OP reads the new replies, I would suggest using a Gobbler Guillotine design typically used for turkeys. That way, you either decapitate the bird (clean kill) or you miss, entirely. No arrow-toting birds on the evening news.

Not a good idea.
