Default Michigan Morels

I am looking for someone to help me out as to where I could hunt public land in Michigan for Morels. How far North would I have to go and still find them? Willing to share finds if someone would come as a guide or $. Thanks.

My brother lives near Evart Michigan, nice big chunk of state land there. You might be late there how ever for morels as he said last week they are only finding the beef steaks now.

So that being the case there I would think some place around Petoskey or Cheboygan may still have some morels coming up.

I always start looking when the May Apples are just starting to pop up.

Have you posted the question on the Michigan sportsman forum?
