Default Wisconsin totals: What are your thoughts?

How did your hunt go? Your seasons if you use more than one weapon?

The northern forest had pretty substantial increases in both bucks and doe. Funny, I thought wolves had eaten every single deer according to some stories here and on other sites???

The rest of the state appears to have had lower harvests of both buck and doe. Weather was good for hunters to be out, so the DNR can't blame that like they did the previous couple of years.

I would like to see mandatory CWD testing just for one year, my suspicion is that it's much more prevalent than thought, and killing more deer than known.

Hello, this my first post.
I hunt in the central forest area. Where clark, eau claire, and chippewa counties meet. I didn't see much for deer or sign this year. I hunt a lot in public county forests and some private property. On the county property, I only saw 2 deer total between bow and gun hunting. On the private land I did see many more....but not a lot. Some people that hunt really close to me, saw many deer. They did not see many bucks though. There were a couple really nice bucks shot by drivers near my treestand during gun hunting. Of course, I was not there. I didn't have a lot of deer on my trail cams either. We saw a lot more deer last year. It was a different year....I think with the corn fields being full of corn, it made it tough for the deer to leave the fields. Also, with the huge amount of does out there, it seemed like the rut was less intense too...it was a tough year...1 weekend left to bow hunt.

We got one large eight pt, three does, a fork (grandson) w/rifle, I got two does cross bow.
There were a lot of deer on our farm, many pics of several very lg. bucks and a lot of does. There is QDM all around our farm which helps.
