Alsheimer sez rut to get started 4-5 days before the full moon on the 14th to and about one week after it. He sez if you can hunt only one weekend this year the weekend of the 19th is the best.
And IL firearm season is the 18th, 19th and 20th! Oh yeah!

I haven't seen any real chasing yet but I have already seen 2 pretty serious sparring matches between a couple bruisers on our properties. Wasn't out right fighting but they were getting pretty dang rambunctious! Pretty sure we're are going to be hearing the bell ring for the knock down drag outs in just a week or so. We got a 10 point strutting around like he is Apollo looking for the war! And the main resident stud on one of the properties is strutting around like Zeus ready to give Apollo that war he is looking for!
