Whitetail Shed Hunting in Ohio

I have never intentionally gone shed hunting before but I was thinking about doing it this year. Any tips or suggestions ? Do you usually go in the late winter or early spring?

i personally dont start looking until end of FEB. ive seen bucks with antlers in march. But i checked in a buck that i shot on 12-18 and the lady checking my deer in said she checked in 2 bucks without their head-gear.. so good luck
