Default Indiana 2011 Deer Season Thread

In years past we have had an Indiana deer season thread started. Since I didn't see one I figured I would get the ball rolling. I did some scouting and stand placement last night and I can't wait to hit the woods come shotgun season. Saw several scrapes and not a lot else. Anyone have success during archery season yet?

I've harvested a doe already, seeing lots of young bucks.
Still waiting for the old boys to get stupid and come by me love drunk.
Scrape activity here in S. IN really intensified this past week.

Good luck

Very beginning of archery was great up in the middle of the state here when it got unusually cold for that time of year. It got kind of slow, but now I think things are heating up.

This is the worst opening weekend I've ever experienced.
I'd rather sit through sleet and rain than through these gail force winds.
I saw 3 deer opening morning, none after 9:30 am, didn't hear much shooting at all.
Saw nothing today, heard 2 shots off in the distance.

A friend of mine did manage to connect on a very nice 10 pt on Friday.

Quite weekend down in my neck of the woods. Had a nice sized buck come in and bust me early on Saturday. Other than that I just saw a doe in the distance. It seemed like once the temperature went above 50 all movement stopped. A neighbor of mine did take a nice 14pt buck on opening morning. Haven't seen the pictures yet but I can't wait to see them. I won't be back out there until next week, but I hope the temperature drops.
