Illinois Opening Weekend?

I couldnt get out due to work. Just wondering how Illinois did this weekend?

I hunt in Macoupin County about 5 miles West of Girard, Illinois and can tell you the deer are eating acorns right now. Unfortunatly I hunt property that has very little acorns so all I did this weekend was watch and listen to the deer eating them about 60 yards away on property that doesn't allow hunting.

Reports say it was a great opener in terms of numbers, but everyone I've talked to didn't do anything.

Thanks for the info guys. Murdy I heard the same story from several people in the northern end of the state.
The corn is getting knocked down everyday up here so hopefully the herd starts to move for us.

Went out one evening, didn't see a thing. Heading out tonight, its quite warm but hoping I see at least one for some fresh backstraps!
