Default Southern Minnesota Jackson area

Hey everyone. I may be moving to the Jackson, MN area after school this summer. I have a job offer there and was wondering if there was anyone that hunted that area and how the hunting is in that area. Lots of deer and what's the terrain like? Never been to the area yet but plan on making a trip sometime before I graduate from college. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Don't know about the hunting but I did see a few dead deer along I-90 in the Austin MN area when I used to go to Sioux Falls SD back in 2002 -2003.

As far as the terrain goes if you're used to a lot of woods and hills you will probably be disappointed. There is 1 HILL between Austin MN and Sioux Falls SD and it's at Jackson MN. There is a nice rest area there. It's pretty much flat as a pancake the rest of the way.

You are going out there for a few days before you decide to take the job to see if it's somewhere you'd want to live arern't you?
