Default anyone familiar w/ Ladysmith WI (or just Rusk county)

guys, i'm from mn but i'm looking to buy some hunting land. why is it that rusk county is so much cheaper then everywhere else? is there good deer hunting in that area?

I'm looking at some land south of ladysmith. anyone give me some info on the area? I'd really appreciate it.

Rusk county does not have a lot of industry so there are not a lot of jobs. I think it is literally the poorest county in the state. There is quite a few deer in the county. South of Ladysmith you have a mixture of hardwoods, softwoods, swamp, creeks and rivers, and agriculture and this is why there is quite a few deer around. Some nice bucks are taken every year in the area.
