Default Acorn ?

Just wondering if any one in the midwest has acrons dropping yet? I thought maybe this cooler weather would get them to start falling, but no. I was hanging a stand the other day in a red oak and every one i grabbed was pretty tight yet. I haven't seen many deer in the soybeans lately so I thought maybe it was because the acorns were dropping but there not.

There are acorns everywhere this year, record crop. All the oak ridges by me are covered with them. The deer are hitting them hard right now. N/W WI area

Yeah I did some scouting yesterday on some public land and found a lot of acorns on the ground. Most of the white oaks don't have any but there is a decent crop on the reds. I also noticed with all the moisture we had in the area that there is a ton of mushrooms also and the critters have been munching on a few of those too. I will be debating on sitting on the edge of a hay field or on an oak ridge until the season starts. I'll probably end up flipping a coin.

The Reds by my house are loaded, heard one or two drop on my trailer last night while I was out practicing.

All of the White oaks are dropping good and the rest are starting. Deer are tearing them up.

My Pin Oaks are dropping theirs. I hope I'll be out hunting soon!
