I can't believe it, because the ILDNR website said I didn't draw firearm............and I checked 3 days after my successful muzzleloader permit number was displayed. But today to my surprise I got an envelope from the DNR with my 1st choice Jim Edgar Panther Creek full season firearm permit! Go figure. 3 tags in 4 years for primo areas. Good news considering I am 0-fer-60 over my last 2 years applying out west.

Cool, glad ya got the tag ya wanted! Our firearm tags arrived the other day in the mail so my boys and I are good to go!
I read on PSO that IL license and tag sells are down something like 16,000 with gun deer tags down nearly 9,000. I guess the fee increase turned a lot of folks off ?!?

I needed a bit of good news, been a real bad year for me. Also last year drew Scripps unit great tag but lots of rain resulted in no corn being cut in Schuyler county so all the bucks were hiding in there. It was aweful. Even lost a great buck due to soaking wet gear/bow failure. I have been bowhunting JEPC for 15 years so I know it well and should do good.

Ya the ankle deep creek I normally cross to get to my fav spot was a raging river knee deep dangerous current. Peep sight serving failed on draw costing me a 160" buck.
