Default Spring 2010 first sighted

Just thought I would start a thread asking all, what have you spotted this spring already in the outdoors,or first sightings of stuff? I don't care if plants animals or odd stuff just interested.I like to keep a journal of things I find or do this time of year ,also a general area of the sightings would be great .

After hunting hard for 3 days of the 1st turkey season, I saw my first kill of the year, a Jake. Fantastic weather turned into some of the best turkey hunting in a while. I couldn't locate a Tom so decided I passed enough Jakes to finally pull the trigger this 6:30 a.m. Great 3 days listening to them talk on the roost! Hens yelpin', jakes practicing there return gobbles, barred owls callin', coyotes yippin and yappin, etc. It's great to be alive!
