Trout fishing . Current River

Monday Im headed up to Acres Ferry,MO to canoe current river were goin all the way down to Van Buren . How far down can we expect to catch trout . The reason I ask is because on Spring River in northern AR when you get 4 or 5 miles down river from the hatchery the trout are few and far between if not nonexistent. Ive been been plottin on the small mouth in case the trout play out. thanks for any replies

Id try farther up river for good trout fishing, there are good fish all through the river, but the closer you get to Montauk, the more fish you will catch. If you get up around Cedar Grove you wil have some good fishing, but go during the week because youll have a lot of canoers. Im from Salem and am lucky enough to have time off mid-week quite often, always better fishing then.
