Default Iowa zone 5

Anybody have info on the seer population in zone5. Looking to go there next year and just wondering what this zone is like. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Plenty of Deer but lots of applications for that zone from what I understand. Preference points probably needed.
I see your from Ill.. (Ill., my home state). I would check into some of the "special" Bowhunts up around Chicago-lots of Suburban deer & some dandy Bucks.
Also, if your planning a Iowa N.R. Bowhunt it is DRAW. I'd just plan on a WEEk or so almost anywhere in Ill. for a get away Deer Hunt. I love Iowa But my BIGGEST Deer are still from Ill..
I get to Ill. & go with my son & brother sometimes-I just go along & film but we get time together.
Good Luck on whatever you decide.
Down State Ill. (Shawnee Natl. Forest area) is very similar to the areas of zone 5 Iowa I have been to. I've been down there "fishing" for a few days the last 2 years in summer..
