Default Michigan scouting

For all my fellow Michigan hunters out there, when do you typically begin scouting? I plan on doing some heaving scouting over the course of the year and would like to know when would be a good time to start. I' d also like to know what to look for.

Thanks,
Mike

I own private property and I scout it year round. I was checking trails for deer activity starting in December in areas of the property that weren`t being hunted. I continue to look for fresh tracks in trails each time I am on the land. I like to hunt travel corridors between bedding and feeding areas.

I scout year round but i really look hard starting in the summer. I look in fields in the evening to look for bucks in the fields and then i go in the woods and look for trails scrapes rubs and bedding and feeding areas.

I guesse I kinda scout year round as well,When I' m in the wood' s I am constantly checking area' s out that would be good set up site' s and such.
I have even noticed thing' s that I may have missed the previous season.
As far as how to scout,I usually am looking for good travle corridor' s,old rub' s&Rub line' s.
That way you have a starting point to check out in the coming fall.
When your in the wood' s just keep your eye' s open for any sign new or old.
