well i had zone 18....but i can offer some advice for late season toms, stay in the woods all day because the toms will be looking for anything they can find and should be vary receptive to calling.

I had the first period in 28. High winds and rain the 2 1/2 days I hunted. Heard abd saw birds but did not harvest any.
I hunted near Whitewater, Eagle and La Grange all on State land. If you want to try the same area, e-mail me and I steer you to where I hunted. There were birds there but just not the best weather for me to hunt them in.

How else can I help you?

Well we went out on the 21 and they ran away from the calls. It seems the land owner had guys ont he land three week in a row before we got there. The birds went the exact opposite direction that we were. It was aweful, they gobbled in the morning, but didnt make a sound the rest of the day. On the last day of the hunt, when we were packing up to leave, we saw about 400 yards away in a dirt fiekd, 10 gobblers, and they were crossing the highway!! So we knew that was the end, and we left. It was very disapointing. The last 2 years in a row, we have recieved the last period and zone that we actualy wanted. It is getting old, hopefully we get a good period and zone next year.
