Default shed hunting Iowa

Blew off work and finally got out today. Two matching sets and one single. Measured one set 65" one side 60'' other.
I'll post pics later. Anyone else having luck?

Snow is gone southern Iowa makes it easier. Should be a good weekend!

hey shedhunter, nice find

Ihaven't been out looking yet but a friend and some of his buddies found 30+ sheds in iowa this past week on a big chunk of property

So by the sounds of it the deer in Iowa have shed their antlers by now, hope you can find a few more nice ones

Ive been out looking for 3 days and Ive found only one side. A small 3 pt. I live in southeast Iowa and have seen alot of bucks the last couple nights out feeding about half hour before dark and all of them are sporting their racks. Alittle bit longer around here before they all drop but with this warm weather hopefully theyll be on the move and that will help speed things up with all that running and jumping. Dont know if my theory is accurate but I figure antlers would be similar to a tooth, if a kid wiggles a tooth all the time to show its loose then it falls out shortly after. So I guess deer jostilling those racks around should loosen em and theyll fall off quicker than if they were bedded down most of the day. Just my .02
