Congrats Matt. My Doe tag was filled in Michigan and my buck tag for Illinois was filled in first season. I would have liked to get out again but a 6 hr drivekeeps me from that. Plus, 2 deer and over a hundred pds of venison is all I need for the year, the rest would just be waste. Next year I hope to hunt the spot I did this year and donate a doe to someone needy If possible.Looks like our deer hunting is over until October!! [:@]

We only hunted on Sunday afternoon. Saw herds on the drive in and herds on the drive out, but not to much on the property when we wherethere. Plenty of sign, but just missed them. Time to start thinking turkey...

I went out but did not get one personally. Our group only shot one but we saw tons on Sat. and Sun. We only saw one antlered deer with forty plus sightings. I wonder how many giants without horns went down?

The cold weather on Friday, then wind and snow on the weekend had a lot of them laying low. My dad's hunting partner got one good sized doe. Seven of us went out rabbit hunting on Sunday and only saw three which is unusual since we usually jump more deer than rabbits.
