Default License Increases?

A proposal is gonna hit Iowalawmakers to approve a 34% increase on hunting and fishing licenses, a darn near $15 increase. This is defintely not going to help introduce new people to hunting and fishing adventures, and is absolutely ridiculous.

Anybody elses state looking to increase the license fees?

i heard that to they say they need it for "flood relief" but it's really because there isn't any new hunters going out and they need more money to maintain parks and lakes
my theory is that they shouldn't raise the hunting licenses and use that on state parks but have the people who use the parks pay fees

Iowabuckhunter- How much does your licenses cost now ? Here in IN. it's 24.00 dollars . The way the economy is now and they say it could get worse I really don't see how there going to make much money people will just stat hunting with out it.

THEY CAN MAKE UP ALL KINDS OF EXCUSES FOR CHARGING MORE!

It all boils down to a misapropriation of the funds they have all ready. Just tax more and spend more, that is what we have now. Its the same all over!

They are originally $26.50 for just the habitat fee and the actual hunting license. Then you have the deer and turkeytags, which are another $27.00, if you do any waterfowl hunting, another $12.00. So if you are an all aroundresident hunter you can hunt deer, pheasant, waterfowl, and small game for about $66, with the increase the actual hunting price will fly up to about $40, making an all around hunter paying at least a benjamin now to hunt everything in the woods...
