I hunted there last year for the first time and preparing for my 2nd trip for the upcoming slug season. I was curious if anyone here has been archery hunting this area and has a report on buck activity/sightings. Last year I saw a lot of bucks, but not what I was looking for.
I hunt a placeabout 10 miles West of there, right outside of Robinson, IL and it was picking up, but we had temps in the mid 70's today, and are called for the rest of the week. Anyways, seen a few decent one's, the pre rut is here, and should be rocking in about 10 days.

If you can send me a map of the areas you have hunted I can give you some pointers. Been walking that ground since the age of three coonhunting with my dad and grandpa. There are some monsters in there. You just have get away from the parking areas.
