I saw 2 smaller bucks chasing a doe hard this morning. I say another week and a half things will be going crazy!

hey folks, i dont know if this will help you guys any but i live in the suburbs of chicago and the other night i had a nice ten point in my backyard and he came in with his nose to the ground. so i would have to agree with hammerman maybe a week or two and it is probably going to be hot out there in the deer woods.
unfortionatly i dont have anywhere to hunt in illinois so i hunt in minnesota, and my problem is, is that i only get to hunt for one weekend a year.
if any of you guys know of some one that has hunting leases or would allow bowhunting only i would really appreciate it.

oh ya by the way that night the buck came in i also had five does in the backyard, and they ran off faster than anything....

Managed to take my first bow buck today. It was pretty windy and we didn't see much movement. His neck was starting to swell a little and he had his nose to the ground...

Last night on my way home I saw a really nice buck with 2 does in a bean field. There was still about a half an hour of light left and he was a ways out in the fireld, so at least he was moving in the daylight for a while. I guessed him to be a 3 1/2 year old.

I think they're starting either way.
