Haven't seen much of anything here on the western side, Council Bluffs area. I think it's just to warm and they're not moving much. How's your season going so far.

I went out for the first times this last Thursday and Friday and didn"™t see a thing"¦ I think too many crops are still in but the harvest has begun so the deer will start to see less places to hide which is a big plus where I hunt.

I have rarely been skunked (not seen a deer) in my favorite stand and I was the first 2 times this year"¦

It will pick up, I am sure of that"¦ Happy Hunting

bowhuntn87,

yep that's whereI go, there's a couple spots up near Little Sioux and Pisqah, my stepdaughters boyfriend's parents live there they're right on the edge of public hunting land. They tell me they see lots of deer up there. The ones I've seen I would need my 30-06 to reach, lol. There's also an area justeast ofModale that I hunt once in a while. The place in Little Sioux is a few miles from the Boy Scout camp that got hit by the tornado this summer.

I'm guessing you're talking about the public land with the lookout point with the big deck? That place has a lot of timber in there. I know there are some really big ones in there. That's some beautiful country up there.

that's the place, saw some pretty decent bucks there last year. haven't been able to get up there since the weather broke and gotten cooler, my truck decided to die on me. once I get it up and running again i'll be up there, and going for some long hikes.
