Over the summer I will be up that way from time to time and am wondering about a legal question. There is no limit/season for opossoms, skunks, weasels or snowshoe hares.
If I am a nonresident and happen to come across one while stump shooting, can I take one legally?
Just looking for some new things to sharpen the skills.
Thanks
woody, I' m not sure on that one. You may need to call the WDNR and ask. I have a funny hunch that you may still need a non-resident small game license. I woul;d call them and check.

My thinking is that if you are shooting skunks, possums, or weasels, you do not need a license. Snowshoe hares you do need a small game license.
Call the DNR to find your answer.
Woody , you need a nonresident furbearing animal hunting license in order to hunt fox, weasel, coon, skunk, opossum, coyote, and bobcat, also a DNR permit for Bobcat. This license will cost around 150.00. For the snowshoes you need a nonresident small game, which is around 75.00.
