Default Michiganders: Looking for a place to hunt, need help please

I live in the Howell area and am looking for land to lease, or a place to hunt for free would be nice too.

My family has hunting property up in Harrison, however it's really a weekend-long hunt as it's two hours north of me. Kind of hard for a day hunt. I'd like to find a place within a half hour.

Know of any in the area? (I'm between US-23 and I-96 off M-59, so north of 59 in Livingston county would be killer.)

The problem is, I don't know many people in this area and it seems that every where I check the place is either leased or hunted. I am striking out trying to find hunt clubs in the area as well.

Does anyone know of any place in publications or the net that hunting properties are listed?

This may be a long shot, but thanks for any help.

Bob

Good luck, I think that area is hunted very heavily. I don't know much about that side of the state. I'm out in West Michigan.

I know that there is some state land North of you. I can't remember what road it is on. I am sure I found it while on Google Earth. Try Argentine road North to like north of Parshileville.

He has a leasepossibility in Van Buren county on 100 acres and is looking for a few guys to help lease. There are big deer there, a very good county for producing big michigan deer.
