Anyone know a WI landowner who might grant me permission?

I'm in Northern IL, never been deer hunting before. Would like to go this year. It seems like the best hunting in my area will either be southern IL or WI, and I'm closer to WI. I can do rifle or handgun.

I've been a shooter for 10 years, I'm safe, responsible, etc.

I would be willing to do some chores for a landowner in need in exchange for hunting priveleges. Heck, I'd share the meat 50/50 with him too, as I don't have a huge freezer.

I'm pretty scared of going hunting on public land and being shot by some idiot who is not sure of what is beyond his target.

Please help a new hunter get a good safe start. PM me if you'd rather do that.
