Default 06 & 07 Rubs

I hunt my dads property in S.E. KS. 2006 was my first year hunting there. Never did any scouting until two days before firearm season (very light scouting). To my surprise I found an area at the edge of a wheat field with small shrubs that were rubbed raw. Opening day of 2006 was a blizzard, a very strong cold front blew in as I reached my stand. Needless to say I came out empty in 2006.
Now 2007 proved different. Hunting the same area (rubs everywhere). I got a matur 9 pointer. Now I am not that seasoned at deer hunting, so is it still possible for other bucks to use this same area for rubbing year after year? I have seen other bucks in the area.

Yes it possible for bucks to rub year in and year out if that's there "home range", others will be made by bucks cruising through the area in search of hot does. If possible try and get out earlier and scout a little, like the 3rd week in Oct. bucks should be rubbing by then, and look for the bigger trees

I would say almost a sure thing, but you still need to be there at the right time
