Hunting and Fishing enthusiasts from across Missouri are coming to the Franklin County Hunting & Fishing Expo at Skaterz Skate & Fun Center in Union on Saturday, September 6 from 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday, September 7 from 10 am to 6 pm.
The expo will feature over 50 world class exhibitors, live demonstrations and expert seminars conducted by prominent professionals. Hunter Johnson, author and owner of Loc Wings and Labs in Southeast Missouri will be conducting professional duck calling seminar. Olympic Gold medal archer and professional bowhunter Rod White will be conducting a Whitetail hunting seminar.
World renowned outdoor retailer Cabelas is a Platinum sponsor of the expo and will have a very large presence. They will be setting up a campsite on the mainstage. Brandon Scott, Operations Manager for Cabelas said they will also have their gun library present for viewing, a large outdoor fish tank for fishing, casting contests, duck calling kits and much more. They are also donating many items for attendance prizes for the two day event, including two muzzle loaders, a tent, a smoker, outdoor kitchens and much more. Scott said "Cabelas is excited about the opportuntity come to the Franklin County area. We know we have a lot of great outdoorsmen and women in this area and it will be nice to come to them for a change."
The Expo is full of activities for even the youngest members of your group. Skaterz is sponsoring a kid"s corner with counselors ready to entertain and lots of fun activities. If your significant other of the female persuasion is not the outdoorsy type she can hang out at the spa area featuring spa procedures and products.
The event is opent o the public. Tickets cost $8 per day for children 10 and older and adults. Children nine an under are free. A two day pass is also available for $12. Parking is free and widely available. Food and beverages, including beer, will be available for purchase on site.
Skaterz Skate & Fun Center is hosting the Expo in their 22,000 square foot building and using the adjacent parking for the outdoor booths.
