Default Wisconsin Deer Season 08-09

Who is ready? Where are you hunting? What are your goals? lets get the stories started now to help get the season here quicker!!!

Now that turkey hunting has came and gone its time to start thinking about deer season! I plan on buying the cuddeback no flash here within the next week to get the scouting process going. I will be hunting in 60a.

Well, I plan on bowhunting near Madison. I've found a good little chunk of land that has a ton of potential. Last year, I had over 6 bucks come well within range, but due to the Earn A Buck, I wasn't able to shoot them since I didn't have my doe yet. Saw some real nice ones too.

I think for the gun season, I will head back to my parents place in the Northern Kettle Moraine, and risk my life on the state land again.

I am ready. I am hunting in central WI in Waupaca County in unit 62B. Goals are to scout out my new 300 acres I permission to hunt on, take a couple of does with the bow, take a nice buck with the bow, film a hunt, and to plant some more food plots. I have 3 cuddebacks to put out this year and buying another one soon.

Ill be hunitng 55 and 72, a total of over 2000 private acres combined. My goals this year are as they have been. Any mature buck and doe are game. I prefer a 130 class buck but if the right old deer comes along, its dead.

I'll be bowhunting on my cousen's 240 acres this fall . He has about 100 acres of alfalfa ,40 acres of winter wheat and about 70 acres of field corn . I have three trail cameras out and check them every 2 weeks . Early this month the bucks were just starting to show some early horns .

Bowhunting and gunhunting in unit 61 (Trempealeau County). Haven't had a shot at a nice one in awhile, so I'm hoping to change my luck. We have EAB again, as well as the October antlerless hunt nonsense. Luckily I already have my EAB stickers from last year so starting early bow season, I can fire away at a nice buck (of course, I need to see one first!).

Only 106 days until bow season opens...but who's counting??!!

I've seen a couple with antlers already. Not too big, but you can tell they're there. Have yet to see any fawns though. I'm sure there around though.

I will be bowhunting up north in Forest County and trying to find land to bow hunt around the Fox Valley. I live in the Greenville, unfortunately haven't been able to get access to private land and public land is small and overrun.
