MN moose

Just wondering if anyone has hunted moose in the BWCA before. I drew a tag in zone 62

been to the BWCA many times, but never for a moose hunt. Have seen many there in past years, so it has a decent population. With the ruggedness of the BWCA, you'll definately "earn" your moose and maybe a heart attack while your at it.

I got drawn in unit 73 myself, so am looking forward for taking moose #3 with my bow. Happy Hunting. Taz

With the fires that went through a couple years ago(if I remember right), the under growth should be perfect for moose and they should be back in there heavy.

I have a cabin in that zone and my father in laws friend got drawn in that zone as well. Two other sets of friends got drawn in the zone to the west of there. We went up fishing for mem day and saw a couple of moose to far off the tell whet they were yet usually i go up in august and check things out and start my scouting. Great pop last year and it wasn't a terrible winter so it should be good.
